Pressure Cooker Rice Recipes

I hadn't come across a recipe named Tahiri before,then when I heard it inwards UBF,a foodie group inwards Facebook,I did a double take.I take to admit though,when it comes to rice recipes,I haven't much ventured past the Biryanis,Pulaos in addition to Fried rice.The rest of the recipe too equally the curiosity led to me attempt this uncomplicated rice recipe named Aloo Matar Tahiri,to which I added other vegetables besides thence mine is a Vegetable Tahiri.

There are no steps involved-other than to load your cooker and make for a specific fourth dimension,together with you lot do not take to supervise it either.Works well for me alongside a hyper active toddler around!



Vegetable Tahiri

Ingredients

For the marinade

Ghee- iii tsp
Tomato - ane chopped
Onion - ane finely chopped
Bay foliage -two
Ginger garlic glue -one tsp
Potato - 1/four cup,chopped
Carrot - 1/iv loving cup,chopped
Capsicum - i/four cup,chopped
Cauliflower - one/iv loving cup,chopped
Green peas - one/iv loving cup
Yogurt - i loving cup
Salt - i tsp
Biryani Masala - ane/ii tsp
Chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric pulverisation - 1/four tsp

Basmati rice - i loving cup,washed good as well as soaked for an hr
Mint - ane/four cup,chopped
Coriander leaves - i/four loving cup,chopped
Water - i/iv loving cup

Method
Mix together the ingredients for the marinade well.
Place one-half of it inward a pressure cooker - I used a 3ltr Handi cooker.
Layer the rice on top and and then the remainder of the marinated vegetables too so the mint as well as coriander.
Sprinkle the water on peak.Pressure fix at medium rut600W if using induction cooktop for ii whistles(20 minutes).
Let the cooker cool down too and so open,fluff upwardly amongst a fork too serve hot.

Notes

  • If you lot want to scale upwardly the recipe,get past the number of whistles rather than the cooking time.
  • You tin can add together any vegetables of your option or but stick with aloo as well as matarpotatoes and green peas
